Flora Europaea perennial, H mesic, nemoral and boreal forests and the mesic grasslands around Carpathian-West Balkan Adenostyletalia, Symphito-Fagion, Piceion abietis beech R41 and R42 nemoral and boreal forest habitats and the adjancent R37 grasslands in Romania quite widespread in the Carpathians in the ecological conditions mentioned         This species is characteristic and endemic for the mountains of Romania and western Balkans, especially for the boreal and nemoral belts. One of the main characters which separates it from the subspecies of A. napellus in our flora is the glandulose-hairy inflorescence which is clearly visible in the photographs below.
